Stay comfortably on Österlen in the middle of the Apple Kingdom – Kivik.
Our fresh and lavish guest house is located on the small coastal road between Kivik and Kiviks Musteri. Once called the Gold Coast. 250 m from the sea. 800 m to Stenshuvuds National Park. Quiet and nice but still close to everything. Beds for 2 people in elevation beds. Animals and non-smoking. Stay comfortable and simple as all bed linen and towels etc. included. Final cleaning is also included so you do not have to think about it.
The guest house is located right next to our own property but still private and is 40 sqm and a terrace of 12 sqm that offers early morning sun and afternoon / evening sun. In the middle of the day a little cooling shade on the balcony.
Oiled oak floor with underfloor heating. Visible beams in the ceiling. Dimmable lighting and recessed spotlights. Elevation beds (raise / lower). Renovated vintage fridge / freezer from the 50’s. Fresh tiled toilet with shower and underfloor heating. Easier cooking option with microwave, induction hob, water / coffee maker and other kitchen equipment. Electric grill on the terrace. Bicycles can be borrowed free of charge. Charging of electric car included (230V standard socket).
Around the property:
Scenic beauty in the orchards with 250 m to the sea and the opportunity for swimming if you go down along the edge at Björn Ranelid’s organic orchard. However, rocky and gravelly so not so good for children or the disabled. But only 2 km from here we have Vitemölla’s fantastic white beaches. On the southeast side we border another organic orchard and on the opposite side there is nature with a nature reserve. To the southwest we border Lilla Stenshuvud with Kivik Art Center where we glimpse Gert Wingårdh’s “sky stairs”.
We do not conduct any business with farming or animal husbandry on the property so it is quiet and nice. The noise of the sea and the sound of the forest are what prevail.
The wildlife around us that can be seen from the guesthouse are usually buzzards and glades that circle over us in the winders. Cubs and other woodpeckers live close by. On the plot move deer, badgers and one or another fox …
Walking distance to Kivik is 2 km and takes 25-30 min and by bike about 7 min. Just before you reach Kivik is Kungagraven with Sågmöllans Café. On the other side it is 800 m to Kiviks Musteri / visitor center with restaurant Kärnhuset and Stinas Café. 75 meters further you come to Stenshuvuds National Park from the north side. 1.5 km away is Äsperöd’s fantastic arboretum with exotic plants that are free to visit. The sections are part of the Skåneleden.
In the harbor in Kivik, we have the well-known Buhre’s Fish & Seafood Restaurant as well as several different other food options. Swimming at the sandy beach begins at Kivik’s harbor and a bit further away we have Vitemöll’s white beaches which then continue up along the entire Hanö Bay. There are 2 18-hole golf courses in Vik which is 14 minutes away by car.
Simrishamn m m
To the nearest town Simrishamn it is 18 km and can be reached by car in 20 min. Buses leave from Kivik every hour. Otherwise, the whole of Österlen’s fantastic range of experiences is very concentrated, so it’s not far from what you want.
